I am an integrative-systemic psychologist and psychotherapist. In my work, I strive to understand the meaning of the reported difficulties in relation to the contexts in which they occur. I am convinced that symptoms do not arise solely from an individual’s internal psychological constellation but are the result of various relationships and systems in which the person functions.
In my professional career, I have worked with children, teenagers, parents and families, adults, and seniors. I gained clinical experience at the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology, in the Clinic for the Treatment of Personality and Eating Disorders, where I completed a 360-hour internship. I also did an almost six-month internship at the Clinic of Psychiatry and Combat Stress in Warsaw, where I learned trauma treatment techniques and diagnostic methods for mental disorders and illnesses. At the Detoxification Ward of the Praski Hospital, I worked with people addicted to alcohol. My master’s thesis, which explored the etiology of hallucinations in alcohol delirium, was awarded the Rector’s Prize at the Medical University of Warsaw, and its results were published in an American scientific journal.
At the Children’s and Youth Helpline 116-111 and the Crisis Helpline for Adults in Emotional Distress 116-123, I provided psychological consultations and, at times, life-saving interventions.
As a school psychologist, I supported students, parents, and teachers. At the Psychological and Pedagogical Counseling Center, I co-conducted diagnostics of neurodevelopmental and childhood disorders, and in a Portuguese Day Support Center for Seniors, I co-organized activities for the elderly.
I believe that honesty with oneself and the courage to reflect on unpleasant feelings and beliefs lead to a more authentic, interesting, and healthier life.
I regularly supervise my work.
