Confidentiality rules
- Therapeutic sessions are confidential. All information relating to the client is bound by doctor/patient confidentiality.
- The therapist or doctor can disclose the information relating to the patient solely by their permission. Such permission from the interested party for such disclosure is obtained in writing and recorded in an electronic documentation system.
- The exception to this rule is the situation when the client’s health and/or life is at risk or the people around the client are at risk, when the therapist or doctor is obliged to notify relevant people, institutions or calling medical help.
- A session can be recorded on electronic data after clear written permission was given by the client. It is not allowed to record the session or therapy without the written agreement of the patient.
- In the room where psychotherapy or online medical consultation is taking place (both in the specialist room and client’s room) third parties are not allowed. There is a possibility of including in psychotherapy or consulting other people – for example the partner, after an agreement with the therapist.
- Therapists work under supervision. Consultation with a supervisor is strictly confidential and it is carried out in such way it is not possible to identify the client.
