Initial consultation / orientation consultation (30 min)
Briefly: a quick, supportive conversation with an experienced psychologist to help you decide where to start: psychotherapy, a psychiatric consultation, or rather psychoeducation and monitoring. The session lasts 30 minutes, is available in person (Bemowo) and online (video/phone), and is clearly more affordable than a full consultation.

FIRST VISIT / HOW TO BEGIN
Why is it worth it?
- You save time and money – in just 30 minutes, we help organize your situation and prevent you from bouncing between specialists.
- Clarity on the next step – you leave with a precise recommendation and, if you wish, an appointment already scheduled.
- A format tailored to you – in person or online; no need to commute.
- A safe atmosphere – non-judgmental, clear communication, with care for the comfort of someone seeking help for the first time.
Who is the orientation consultation for?
- You’re not sure who to see: a psychologist, psychotherapist, or psychiatrist?
- You have several concerns at once (e.g., tension, insomnia, relationship difficulties, work-related problems) and want to organize them into a plan.
- You’re returning to care after a break and want to quickly assess what makes the most sense now
If your symptoms are severe (suicidal thoughts, psychotic symptoms, sudden withdrawal syndrome), an urgent psychiatric consultation.
What does the session look like – step by step
- Brief situation mapping – what is currently most difficult, since when, what helps/doesn’t help.
- Initial differentiation – whether the issue mainly involves emotions and patterns (psychotherapy), requires medical evaluation (psychiatrist), or can be addressed with psychoeducation/monitoring.
- Recommendation + plan – you receive a clear pathway and (optionally) we can immediately schedule your next appointment.
Duration: ~30 minutes
Format: in person (Warsaw, Bemowo) or online (secure video/phone)
Cost: lower than a full consultation – check the Price List
What to prepare? (optional)
- Think of 1–3 situations from recent weeks that clearly illustrate the difficulty.
- Write down the names of any medications/supplements and previous forms of support (if any).
- If you’re considering meeting a psychotherapist, you’ll find a practical guide here: First visit to a psychotherapist – how to prepare?
- If you choose an online session, see the checklist: What does an online session involve and how to prepare for it?
What will you receive after the consultation?
- A clear recommendation: psychotherapy / psychiatric consultation / psychoeducation and monitoring.
- A defined next step (we can immediately schedule an appointment and match you with the right specialist).
- If needed – simple educational materials and guidance on how to take care of yourself until the next visit.
